Mr. Sajiv K. Menon  is the Managing Director of Nitta Gelatin India Limited since April 1, 2014. Nitta Gelatin India Limited is a publicly listed Company promoted by the Osaka 
headquartered Nitta Gelatin Group. Prior to his current assignment, he was with the Murugappa Group of Companies for almost two decades.  

An alumnus of IIM-B, Mr. Menon is also a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli. Mr. Homi Khusrokhan

Homi Khusrokhan is a B. Com. from Bombay University, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and M.Sc. (Econ.) from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He worked for 29 years with Glaxo & Burroughs Wellcome in India and retired as Managing Director of both companies in 2000. During his stewardship, in 1999, Glaxo was rated as India’s Most Respected Company by Business World. 

He then joined the Tata Group as MD of Tata Tea Ltd. and later became MD of Tata Chemicals. Both companies became the world’s 2 nd largest Companies in Tea & Soda Ash during his tenure by virtue of major international acquisitions which he managed. 

After retiring in 2008, he was appointed Special Adviser to the Government-appointed Board of Satyam Computer Services Ltd. in 2009. 

He has worked with various Industry Organizations and Chambers of Commerce. He was President of the Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India and Vice-President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He is presently Senior Adviser, Private Equity to Tata Capital and a Non-Executive Director, on several Boards. He is Chairman of the Western Region of the Employers Federation of India, Chairman of United Way, Mumbai, Vice-President of the Indian Red Cross Society, serves on the board of governors of a secondary school and certain hospitals and is President of the Bombay Natural History Society.

Rajeev Dubey is the Group President (HR & Corporate Services) & CEO (After-Market Sector), Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. His key focus areas are Human Capital initiatives of the Group, the After-Market businesses whose CEO’s report to him, Group Communications, Government Relations, CSR and Infrastructure. He is the Chairman of Mahindra Insurance Brokers, Mahindra Steel Service Centres and Mahindra First Choice Services, and serves on the Boards of several Group companies including Ssangyong Motors Korea, Mahindra Intertrade and Mahindra First Choice Wheels. He is Chairman of the Group CSR Council and the Corporate Governance Cell, Member of the

He joined Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in January 2004 after a career spanning 29 years in the Tata Group, which he joined in 1975 as a member of the TAS, the central managerial cadre of the Tata Group. He spent 21 years with Tata Steel, and the next 7 years as CEO first of Tata Metaliks and then of Rallis India.  

He studied Economics at St. Stephens College, Delhi University, where he was ranked first in the University, and at the Delhi School of Economics, where he received a National Scholarship. He went on to do his MBA from the Yale School of Management, USA as a J N Tata scholar, and was selected as a Distinguished Alumnus of the School. 

Rajeev is a Member of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva and serves on the Board of the International Organization of Employers (IOE), Geneva, where he is also the Chairperson of the Future of Work Policy Group. He is a member of the National Executive Council and the Steering Committee of FICCI (Federation of the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and is Chairman of their HR Committee. Mr. Michael Dias is an eminent Lawyer in the field of Employment Laws. He is also Secretary, The Employer’s Association – Delhi since 1986, an institution promoted by him to assist Employers in statutory compliances and for harmonious workplace relations. He has wide experience in the field of Labour Laws and Industrial Relations of more than 40 years. He is a Member of various Industry Associations such as FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, to name a few.  He has been an Employer Representative on various Statutory Boards constituted by the Government of India including the Employees State Insurance Corporation and currently is a Member of the Central Board of Trustees; a statutory body constituted under the EPF & MP Act, 1952. Mr. Dias has been an Executive Member of various Institutions and their Governing Bodies including All India Organization of Employers, The Leprosy Mission of India, Holy Family Hospital, Salwan Public School, Delhi University and the like. 

He is also a visiting Lecturer and a Keynote Speaker at various programmes on Employment Laws organized by professional bodies such as AIMA, National HRD 
Network, School for Inspired Leadership, Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad and the like. He has served on a number of Committees set up by the Government of India for Labour legislations and Arbitration including the erstwhile Planning Commission and World Bank. Currently, he is working on the Labour Codes drafted by Government of India, that are expected to be enacted by Parliament in their forthcoming Sessions. 

His strengths are that he has a comprehensive knowledge of various Employment Laws and their implementation including the management of Contract Labour, besides representation of Employers before various Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunals. He runs a Law Firm in the name of Michael Dias & Associates. His two sons, Siddharth and Mayank Francis, are Partners in that Firm; they provide legal services not only in the field of Employment Laws but also in a variety of branches of Law. Mr. Dias is an active Member of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and LAWASIA and has delivered Lectures at various Law Conferences around the world; besides, is regularly invited by the National Judicial Academy at Bhopal to interact with Senior Judges and Judicial Officers on various aspects of Labour and Employment Laws. 

Finally, Mr. Dias is a firm believer in Conciliation and Mediation; by nature and temperament, he has enormous belief in Human Resources. Mr. Sandeep Kumar has over 29 years of work experience with the Tata group having joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1991. He has handled various responsibilities having worked in different cities and countries. His core experience revolves around commercial and General Management responsibilities in the business of Steel and Steel raw materials including ferro-alloys and non-ferrous metals. 
He is currently the Managing Director of Tata Metaliks, a listed company on BSE and NSE. He has earlier been the Managing Director of S&T Mining Pvt Ltd (a JV Company of Tata Steel and SAIL for coal mining) from 2008 to 2012. 
Mr. Kumar is a Mining Engineer from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad and a postgraduate in International Trade from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. The ITA also serves as the Office of the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), an Umbrella Body of all tea producing Associations of North and South India. As Secretary General ITA, Mr. Raha is also the Secretary General of CCPA.

The ITA leads industry initiatives on advocacy, policy formulation, industry level IR negotiations and welfare initiatives for the growth and development of the industry.

In his career spanning over three decades with the ITA serving in the upcountry location of Assam and North Bengal for over a decade and 18 years in Head Office, Mr. Raha has championed several initiatives for the growth and development of the tea industry. He is also the co-founder of the Trinitea Framework that is empowering over 60,000 small tea growers in India to remain sustainable.

Mr. Raha has championed the cause of making Indian tea industry more competitive and more sustainable through:

  • Negotiated settlements with the Unions at the industry level on productivity improvement of tea estates, workers wages incentives etc.
  • Negotiated settlement of industrial disputes at the enterprise level of several member companies which included resolution of strikes, lockouts, etc.
  • Represented Tea industry as member of FAO attended all Sessions/Meetings of FAO IGG on Tea overseas and, as part of Government and industry, delegations to all international Conferences and trade meetings overseas.

Mr. Ashwath Ram

President EFI 

Ashwath Ram is the Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, one of India’s leading manufacturers of engines and related technologies. In his current role, Ashwath leads Cummins in India which is a Group of seven legal entities across 200 locations in the country with a combined turnover of over ₹17,900 crores in 2021 and employing over 10,000 individuals.

Ashwath joined Cummins in Columbus, Indiana, USA in 1991. Over the last 31 years, he has led Business Unit Operations as well as key strategic transformations for the Engine Business and Power Systems in India. Ashwath also serves as the Managing Director of Tata Cummins, overseeing the Cummins joint venture and building relationships with large OEM partners, customers and suppliers. He has implemented world class Six Sigma and Project Management improvements, and has driven supply chain excellence across global Engine Business Unit joint ventures.

In addition to his role at Cummins India, Ashwath is actively engaged with multiple industry associations. He is currently the Co – Chairman of CII National Committee on Industrial Relations and Environment. He is also the Chairperson of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) - Sustainable MobilityGroup.

A native of Pune, Maharashtra in India, Ashwath holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Adminstration degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. While studying at Purdue, he also worked at Cummins as a Co-op student.

Ashwath is passionate about creating growth and prosperity for all stakeholders in the society. He and his wife, Vinita, are actively engaged in ensuring their children Chitra and Mukul, who are working in the United States, develop into productive global citizens.

Mr. Sougata Roy Choudhury

Director General - EFI

Mr Roy Choudhury has over 28 years of experience covering Manufacturing, Media and Business Consulting and is currently Executive Director at Confederation of Indian Industry. He handles 3 National Committees/Task Forces in CII.

Sougata has been with CII for over 10 years and has significantly contributed to expansion of the Skill Development & Livelihood initiatives in CII. Ground level initiatives have been scaled up through the 66 offices of CII in India. This has enabled CII Skills to contribute greatly towards implementation of the National Skills agenda while at the same time understand and showcase the learnings, challenges and issues from the grass root level.

He has led CII’s skills policy recommendations on the Apprenticeship Act and the National Skills Policy, has given Skills inputs to ‘Make in India’, ‘Ease of Doing Business’, ‘Industrial Policy’, ‘Digital India’, etc.

He has worked to support, set-up and functionalise 11 Sector Skill Councils - Healthcare; BFSI; Logistics; Lifesciences; Beauty & Wellness; Tourism & Hospitality; Infrastructure Equipment; Paint & Coatings; Green Jobs; Furniture & Fitting; Persons with Disability and Logistics.

He has played a key role in conceptualisation and establishing CII’s Model Career Centre initiative as an industry led Employment Exchange. CII MCCs are in 40 locations including Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai, Bareilly. The MCC’s have impacted over 4,50,000 youth and placed over 1,50,000 youth. The model is being scaled up by CII in partnership with various state governments and industry.

CII has been able to expand its skills work with international collaboration with:

· Is a Sending Organisation for Indian interns in Japan and this model is being expanded to other countries

· Exclusive partnership with international organisations for Training with the first being Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL) Switzerland, the worlds No.1 Hospitality School, for VET courses in Hospitality

· Operating a Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) Centre in Chennai for MEA

 

On ground skill initiatives through Skill Training Gurukuls & Skill Training Hubs has enabled new models for Skill implementation. The CII’s industry led and driven; skills initiatives have been making great impact on ground.

Sougata has played a key role in achieving Labour reforms in the country. Policy advocacy and encouraging bilateral dialogues through Industry Trade Union Dialogue Forum on key labour issues has led to many successful interventions. Fixed Term Employment and working of women during night shift are some of the key outcomes which are part of the new regulatory framework (Labour Codes).

He is a member of Central Board of Trustee (CBT), a statutory body constituted by Central Government under the EPFO. He is actively engaged with major implementation arms of Ministry of Labour & Employment such as ESIC, V V Giri National Labor Institute etc.

Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar

Shri Adika Ratna Sekhar has over 30 years of experience in leading  multicultural organizations in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations and Administration with hands on experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organisational Development, Learning & Development and Change Management initiatives, 360 degree leadership development programme, Career and Performance  Management systems and Performance counselling. He has lead employee engagement programs, employee welfare and loyalty programmes and trade union negotiations in progressive organisations of repute. A keen strategist with a flair for designing and implementing innovative strategies, he is credited for HR interventions in line with industry standards. 

He is presently C&MD, Director [HR&CA]-Additional Charge and Director [Manufacturing Businesses]-Additional Charge of Balmer Lawrie, a Mini-Ratna I, PSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, GOI. Prior to this he was C&MD designate and lead the HR & Corporate Affairs function as Director [HR&CA] since May 2018. He has been holding leadership positions in the HR function in industry leading organisations pan India for over a decade viz. Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., Tata Projects, Ramky Group and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited.  He has significantly contributed in various organisations in products and services categories in both the Private and Public sectors. He commenced his career with Vijai Electricals Limited, Hyderabad, as a Management Trainee, thereafter served in Bharat Electronics Limited for 17 years across roles and locations, before moving to the private sector organisations like Federal Mogul Goetze Limited, Bilfinger Berger Constructions Private Limited holding key managerial and leadership positions. 

A seasoned professional, he believes in diversity, inclusion and change as the drivers of business growth, which in turn is leveraged for  development of people capacity. During his leisure hours, he enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with his family.
